Carly Rose Sonenclar, the runner-up on season two of “The X Factor,” will be honored by her hometown, Mamaroneck, with her very own parade on Sunday, Jan. 27.
The two-hour parade, which will kick off at 2:30 p.m., will travel down Mamaroneck Avenue, beginning at Jefferson Avenue and ending at Prospect Avenue. Carly Rose will initially lead the parade, riding in a car at the front of the procession, before watching the parade from the viewing stands across from Molly Spillane’s.
Among those participating are Carly’s Angels, her base of local fans and supporters, the Starlight Children’s Foundation of NY/NJ/CT, a nonprofit organization benefiting children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses, for which Carly Rose serves as an ambassador, and Applause New York, a Mamaroneck-based group that offers theater classes for kids. The local fire and police departments also are slated to take part in the parade.

Mamaroneck Mayor Norman Rosenblum will speak at the event, and although Carly Rose will not perform, she is scheduled to make a statement from the viewing stands at 3:30 p.m.
The 13-year-old reality television star has kept busy since earning second place on “X Factor” in December. Besides catching up on her schoolwork (including studying for midterms), she recently hung out backstage at “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” with kids from the Starlight Foundation, where she met the show’s stars, Reeve Carney and Rebecca Faulkenberry.
