Gay marriage: Celebrity tweets about Supreme Court hearings
This week, the U.S. Supreme Court began hearing cases about same-sex marriage, and in June it will make a ruling that could impact the legality of same-sex marriages nationwide. Celebrities with Hudson Valley ties have taken to Twitter to voice their reactions to what could be the court's most significant ruling on civil rights in decades.
Audra McDonald, a Croton resident, directly addresed the Supreme Court with a specific request.

Susan Sarandon, who owns a home in Pound Ridge, had a similar message for the Supreme Court, worded more as a mandate than a request.

"New Girl" star Max Greenfield, a Dobbs Ferry native, succinctly tweeted his support for same-sex marriage in less than 20 characters.
And Bedford native Felicity Huffman had a message for those who would be directly affected by a Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage.
