Hayden Panettiere, 'Nashville' cast perform surprise concert
Hayden Panettiere and her “Nashville” co-stars put on a surprise concert Tuesday night as part of the Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival in Nashville, Tenn.
According to Rolling Stone, the show’s cast, including Panettiere, Connie Britton, Charles Estes, Sam Palladio, Clare Bowen and Jonathan Jackson, were all on hand for the gig at 3rd & Lindsley, a local music club. During the show, the actors performed songs their characters have sung (or will sing) on “Nashville.” The event marked the first time the show’s stars have performed live in public.
Panettierre, a former Palisades resident who has been in the news this week regarding rumors of a secret engagement to Ukranian boxer Wladimir Klitschko, performed “Telescope,” the signature hit of her TV character, country-pop starlet Juliette Barnes. Rolling Stone reported that the actress performed the song during the concert’s final encore along with songwriter Kate York. (York happens to be the person who posted a photo of Panettiere wearing a diamond ring on Instagram last weekend, which intensified the engagement rumors.)

Other songs performed at the surprise gig included Britton and Estes dueting on a new song called "At the End of the Day," and Bowen and Palladio teaming up for "If I Didn't Know Better," a song written by their characters Gunnar and Scarlett that was featured in the series pilot.
For those who missed out on seeing the “Nashville” cast performing live, you can at least see them on the small screen tonight. "Nashville" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
