Hayden Panettiere talks Taylor Swift, 'Nashville' in New York Magazine
"Nashville" star Hayden Panettiere, in an interview in the May 20 issue of New York Magazine, discusses why she never utters the name Taylor Swift, her own singing and her connection to the city of Nashville.
Details from the interview with the former Palisades resident:
1. Panettiere texted Swift, who used to live in the same building, to tell her that she is not modeling her "Nashville" character, Juliette Barnes, on Swift, as people keep insisting. “It kept coming out, and I didn’t want her to feel like it was per me, or that I was thinking that I was playing her," she said.

2. Although she sings all her own songs on the show and has recorded an album, Panettiere hates to perform in public. “Performing live has always terrified me. Stages have always terrified me," she said. "They never used to when I was little."
3. The Golden Globe-nominated actress has turned the backyard of the borrowed home in South Nashville where she lives into a tiki lounge, complete with torches, potted cactus and bamboo beverage hut. She sleeps in the attic on a futon.
