Kevin Bacon is known for a prolific film career that spawned the pop culture game, “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.” Starting Wednesday, the actor has a link to the Hudson Valley as well.
Bacon is starring in “The Following,” his first-ever television show, which is filming in Bronxville Wednesday. In the FOX drama, Bacon plays a former FBI profiler who is called back into service to track down a serial killer who has escaped from prison.
Filming will take place in three locations: 77 Pondfield Rd., Womrath Bookstore and Kraft Bistro. The shoot will start around 9 a.m. and will wrap at 8 p.m.
This is the second high-profile shoot in Bronxville this summer: Tina Fey’s film “Admission” also filmed in the Westchester village in May.
Ironically, the actor begins his TV career just as his wife’s is drawing to a close. Kyra Sedgwick wraps up her Emmy-winning stint on TNT’s “The Closer” on Aug. 13.
“The Following” is scheduled to air midseason on FOX.
