Mary J. Blige with Rolling Stones: 5 ways she rocked

Mary J. Blige more than held her own with the Rolling Stones on Saturday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, wailing on the second verse and harmony of "Gimme Shelter" as few divas can.
Newsday Westchester looks at five ways the Yonkers native rocked with the "World’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band." Follow along with the video below!
1. She knows how to make an entrance. Strutting onto the stage in a sequin-slathered ensemble, Blige's deep vocals radiate even brighter than her outfit.
2. She's got the moves like Jagger. At the end of her first chorus, she and Mick Jagger are quite literally going head to head, getting so close that they're practically rubbing noses. Let's hope they both had minty fresh breath at the time.
3. She knows how to share a stage. A veteran of the music scene, she steps aside to let Keith Richards shred on his guitar solos.
4. She knows how to own the stage. Once Richards wraps his solo, Blige unleashes, bringing rasp, soul and incredible energy to her breakdown. Even a slight voice crack works in her favor, proving how she's pouring every last ounce of effort into the moment.
5. She looks like she's having a blast. In a time when too many performers look ambivalent at best on stage, or are trying too hard to look cool, it's fun to watch entertainers appear to be having as much fun as they should be having.
