The Magic of Derrin Berger in Rhinebeck on Saturday
Youngsters will thrill at magician Derrin Berger’s special blend of magical marvels and family-friendly comedy at his all-ages Saturday morning performance at the Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck (661 Rte. 308 Rhinebeck).
Audience participation -- by both kids and adults -- will be part of the 11 a.m. act, Berger, a Hyde Park native, says. "One of the approaches I take to magic is to take classic tricks and put a twist on them," he said. "It's not considered a 'typical' magic show. It's a lot of fun."
The award-winning magician will be "appearing" at the Rhode Island International Film Festival on the same day -- but not by magic: He’s featured in the documentary, “Magic Camp,” which will be screened at the festival that day.
Tickets are $9 for adults and seniors and $7 for children. Find more information at by calling 845-876-3080 or visiting www.centerforperformingarts.org.
