Victor Garber confirms he's gay, says 'everybody knows'
The actor, who has called Highland Mills home, was discussing his new NBC drama with Hernandez at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, Calif., last week, when the blogger broached the topic. Hernandez said that he read on Wikipedia that Garber “lives in New York with his companion of 13 years, Rainer Andreesen.”
Garber responded to the question with “surprise,” according to Hernandez. He then said, “I don’t really talk about it, but everybody knows.”
“He’s going to be out here with me for the SAG [Screen Actors Guild] Awards,” the actor added.
Garber will be attending the Jan. 27 awards show as a cast member of the film “Argo,” directed by Ben Affleck, the husband of his former “Alias” co-star Jennifer Garner.
Garber’s low-key confirmation comes on the heels of Jodie Foster’s emotional speech when accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 70th annual Golden Globes on Sunday, during which she praised Cydney Bernard, her former partner and the mother of her two sons.
