Watch Jay-Z take the subway to Brooklyn

Jay-Z: He's just like us! (Well, he took the subway to Brooklyn this weekend, so that counts, right?)
While it's unknown if he went so far as to take the Metro-North train from Scarsdale — where he owns a home and where he and Beyoncé got their marriage license — the iconic rapper was swarmed by adoring fans and awed onlookers as he strode with a small entourage from the Canal Street station in Manhattan onto a subway car. Multiple police officers joined him on his walk from the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center stop to the concert venue, where he was performing that night.
Here are some thoughts on the original video we posted, which has since disabled embedding:
-I know the only options for that station stop are 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q and R trains, but is anyone else just a little disappointed he didn't take the J or Z trains?
-I love how Jay sits next to an older woman on the train (shortly after the 1-minute mark) and shares a smile with her. I will pretend that he introduced himself as Shawn, only for her to surpsire him by showing off her Jay-Z tickets and demonstrating Hova's signature "diamond" hand signal.
-Jay-Z seems remarkably calm, given the circumstances, but there's definitely a level of intensity throughout this footage. This is why big stars can't and don't often take public transportation, so think about that the next time you get jealous of private jets and the like.
-There was no sign of a subway-riding Beyoncé (who should've taken the B train, naturally) but she did show up on stage to join her husband for "Crazy In Love."
