West Point Band summer concerts return for 195th season
Nothing says summer like a night spent outdoors enjoying live music with good friends. Now in its 195th season, the West Point Band returns this Sunday with its outdoor concert series, "Music Under the Stars."
The free concerts, held every Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. through Labor Day weekend, take place at the Trophy Point Amphitheater, which overlooks the Hudson River. From "The Wizard of Oz" to a celebration of the Beatles' legacy, each week the band bases their musical selections on a fun theme.
Guests are invited to bring a picnic and concerts generally last one hour. Don't forget to stick around for the firework displays on July 7 and Sept. 2, both held after the show.
