Bedford's Collin McLoughlin has been eliminated from "The Voice." After the singer was paired up with 16-year-old Michaela Paige, Blake Shelton, their celebrity coach, chose her over McLoughlin.

It's a good month for music in the Hudson Valley, with two local musicians releasing No. 1 albums in the past two weeks.
Matchbox Twenty’s new album, “North,” released Sept. 4, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard chart last week. Fronted by Bedford resident Rob Thomas, the pop-rock band's new album has sold 123,000 units so far and spawned the Top 40 hit, "She’s So Mean."
