Kim Richards of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" concedes excessive drinking was behind her behavior last week at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she was arrested and charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer.
According to excerpts published by People Tuesday, Mineola native Richards, 50, told TV psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw, "The whole night is my fault. None of this would have happened if I didn't drink." The episode is scheduled to air Tuesday.
Richards -- a child star who had played Prudence Everett in the 1970-71 ABC sitcom "Nanny and the Professor" and appeared in many Disney TV and film projects -- "was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior, cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest," according to a statement from the Beverly Hills Police Department.
Richards is due to appear at Los Angeles Superior Court's Airport Courthouse on June 10
