AFTER THE 'GOLD RUSH.' Superstorm Sandy knocked out power at Donna Hardesty's Greenlawn home, so without a computer or TV, she had no idea she'd won the $100,000 prize in a Discovery Channel sweepstakes for the gold-mining reality series "Gold Rush." Fortunately, her son in Rochester, N.Y., suspected that the "Donna H." announced on TV might be her. Once alerted, her other son, who lives with her, used his smartphone to check her email -- and there was the network's congratulatory message. She says she plans to share her winnings with her 11 brothers and sisters and some grandchildren.
