As one of the most powerful women in the media industry, Arianna Huffington knows how to dress for success.

The president and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post Media Group chose to attend just one show this New York Fashion Week: Nanette Lepore.

Huffington wore a simple, tailored, navy blue Nanette Lepore coat over a black Nanette Lepore pantsuit with pink and green details and carried an oversized white clutch, also by the designer.

Huffington said the key to style is knowing what works for you.

"I love it when women know what looks good on them as opposed to what looks good on a model or the hanger," she told Newsday.

And for Huffington's busy schedule, it's important to be able to get dressed on the fly.

"I have outfits ready to put on within a second and be gone," she said.

But what does Huffington reach for first in her closet when she has a really big day ahead of her?

"I have a Nanette dress that I've worn so much I have a slideshow of every time I've worn it," she said. "It's just a mid-calf black lace dress and I wear different color pinafores over it."
