CASEY AFFLECK (best actor, “Manchester by the Sea”) — In the 1990 miniseries “The Kennedys of Massachusetts,” Affleck played Robert F. Kennedy as an adolescent.

MAHERSHALA ALI (supporting actor, “Moonlight”) — Using his real full first name of Mahershalalhashbaz, Ali appeared as Dr. Trey Sanders for one season (2000-01) of the Jill Hennessy medical drama “Crossing Jordan.”

RYAN GOSLING (best actor, “La La Land”) — After beginning his TV career on “The New Mickey Mouse Club,” Gosling starred as the title character in “Young Hercules” (1998-99), a Fox Kids Network spinoff of the Kevin Sorbo series “Hercules: The Legendary Journey.”

NAOMIE HARRIS (supporting actress, “Moonlight”) — The British actress was first seen by U.S. audiences as Ami in Nickelodeon’s sci-fi series “The Tomorrow People” (1994-95).

EMMA STONE (best actress, “La La Land”) — Billed at the time as Emily Stone, she played Laurie Partridge (a role originally played by Susan Dey) in “The New Partridge Family,” a 2005 update of the 1970s series.
