The 2014 major league baseball season is now underway, with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers playing each other Saturday and Sunday in, of all places, Australia. To honor this landmark occasion, lets look at five notable TV performers who hail from the land Down Under -- and all of whom appear (or appeared) on series that aired on CBS.

SIMON BAKER From Launceston, Tasmania, he has starred since 2008 as Patrick Jane, a consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation, on "The Mentalist."

TONI COLLETTE Hailing from the Sydney suburb of Blacktown, she stars on "Hostages" as Dr. Ellen Sanders, who faces an excruciating dilemma as she prepares to perform surgery on the U.S. president.

ANTHONY LAPAGLIA The Adelaide native starred for seven seasons as FBI Agent Jack Malone on "Without a Trace."

POPPY MONTGOMERY Raised in Sydney, she co-starred with fellow Aussie LaPaglia on "Without a Trace" and now plays Det. Carrie Wells on "Unforgettable," which returns this summer.

ALEX O'LOUGHLIN Born in Australia's capital city, Canberra, he stars as Lt. Cmdr. Steve McGarrett on the revival of "Hawaii Five-0."
