This newly devised metric, from Nielsen's Social Guide, now includes not only "authors" (the number of people tweeting about TV programs) and the total number of tweets, but also the much larger audience of people who actually viewed those tweets. Here are the top 10 programs ranked by "unique audience":

4. BELLATOR MMA LIVE (Spike), 1,850,000

6. BALLERS (HBO), 1,155,000

7. A DEADLY ADOPTION (Lifetime), 962,000

8. LOVE ... HIP HOP: ATLANTA (VH1), 908,000

9. THE TOP 100 PLAYERS OF 2015 (NFL Network), 898,000
