Finale week in progress: 'CSI' ends tonight
It's finale week! But you already knew that, with all of your favorite shows suddenly, abruptly, seeming to be coming to an end. The big guns start to bow out Wednesday night, with "CSI" closing out its 12th season, and Thursday we've got a veritable overload of season closers: "The Big Bang Theory," "The Vampire Diaries," "The Secret Circle," "The Office" and "Parks and Rec."
Calm down! Most of 'em'll be back next season. For the next couple of weeks, I'll try to keep up to speed with finales and what to expect, with embedded videos, if I can find 'em.
Meanwhile, "CSI": The big show starts, at 10, and here's the basic logline: We get to meet D.B. Russell's (Ted Danson) wife, played by none other than the wonderful Peri Gilpin -- Roz from "Frasier," of course. Her character's name is Allison. (Where's Peri been of late? "Make it or Break It.")
Anyway, this should get interesting because viewers also get into the back story of Russell and Julie (Elisabeth Shue) -- probably some sort of old romantic entanglement or botched case, or who-the-hell-knowns-what? We will know soon.
Logline: Three stiffs are found near a campaign diner. The CSI investigates. Shocking discoveries will be made. Cliffhangers will hang. To the clip!
