Miley Cyrus will host, perform on 'Saturday Night Live' on Oct. 5
Miley Cyrus -- queen of the twerk, master of the Styrofoam finger, and who-knows-what-that-was she did with her tongue -- will host and perform on "Saturday Night Live's" second edition of the season, on Oct. 5.
Congrats, "SNL." You've done it again: dipped into the zeitgeist slush bucket at the exact right moment and pulled up a squirming bit of zeitgeisty fluff. That would be Miley. This will be a huge show.
Almost forgot to mention: Tina Fey and Arcade Fire are on the premiere. This is the 39th season forthcoming ...

On October 5, Miley Cyrus returns to SNL to pull double duty as host and musical guest. Cyrus’ newest album, “Bangerz” will be released October 8, featuring double-platinum lead single, “We Can’t Stop" as well as her brand new single "Wrecking Ball." On October 12, blockbuster star Bruce Willis will return to Studio 8H for his second appearance as host. Katy Perry will make her second appearance as musical guest. Perry's upcoming album, "Prism" has already spun the Billboard Hot 100 number one single, "Roar."
