David Letterman sits down with Oprah Winfrey on the Jan. 6 edition of "Oprah's Next Chapter" -- and I know what you're thinking. "Ho hum. Dave and O talk all the time now."
Except: Letterman is hit with questions about the sensational scandal that rocked his empire, career and life a few years back, and, incidentally, sent a blackmailer to jail.
Check out this clip. Dave looks like he's undergoing an exquisite form of torture. (This is one of those quid pro quo interviews -- Oprah did his Ball State University lecture series, and then, in return, he had to take some questions from the Queen. This one sounds good.

The brief promotional clip, released Tuesday, revealed Letterman -- who rarely agrees to interviews, almost never to ones that broach his personal life -- squirming and grimacing as Winfrey asked about battles with depression (about which he's never spoken publicly) and the 2009 scandal, when a CBS News employee attempted to extort $2 million from him by threatening to expose his affairs with "Late Show" staffers.
According to an OWN statement, "No question is off-limits." Winfrey will also reveal to Letterman the true reason behind their much-publicized "feud."
