Well, I guess we all saw this coming - but "Ugly Betty" will wrap for good this April.

Word is starting to break now - a couple of confirmations out there via Variety, People, and the Wrap.

It's a shame and a blow to the New York production community - "UB" has been produced here the last season (or so).  The move to Friday certainly never helped...

Numbers have dropped and dropped and dropped over four seasons, from about 11 million back in '06 to around 5 million  now.

"We've mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty's final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion,"ABC E boss Steve McPherson and exec producer Silvio Horta and Steve McPherson said in a joint statement. "We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell."
