Crystal Bowersox singing "Me and Bobby McGee" for her first song on the "American Idol" finale and, from the get-go, it's better than Lee DeWyze's first effort.

It has soul and she's relaxed, has fun, just seems more like a winner than he did. Gets the crowd into it. She really starts rocking out in the second half and it's a clear win for her.

Randy says you really nailed it by the end, "thought it was dope, dude." Ellen found it "compelling," which is a great word for Crystal when she's at her best. Kara loved it, "you have fire in your belly tonight."

Simon says it's like when they first fell in love with you, tells her she's "back on your best."
