Walter Cronkite dead at 92
Walter Cronkite, once known as the "Most Trusted Man in America" and the reigning symbol of broadcast journalism itself, has died at age 92.
His longtime chief of staff, Marlene Adler, told the Associated Press that Cronkite died at his Manhattan home at 7:42 p.m. Friday, surrounded by family. She said the cause of death was cerebral vascular disease.
