Family of Eric Geter: Bail for fatal hit-and-run suspect Linda Ibrahim too low

Ibrahim has been held on $50,000 cash bail, an amount the Geter family says is not nearly enough, considering the seriousness of her alleged crimes.

NEW WINDSOR - The family of a man who died in a hit-and-run last week in New Windsor is outraged tonight after learning the amount of bail set for his suspected killer.

Eric Geter, 32, was allegedly struck and killed by 28-year-old Linda Ibrahim, of Cornwall, on Jan. 9.

Ibrahim's damaged vehicle was found days later at a repair shop with a smashed windshield and right front end.

Court documents indicate that police believe the the suspect was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

Ibrahim remains behind bars, charged with vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of a deadly accident.
