How to attract birds to your garden

I know you're out there - skulking about behind bushes, tiptoeing and whistling, binoculars in hand. If you really want to attract birds to your garden, you're going to have to give them a reason to stay. Serve up some seeds, nectar and berries, and provide a safe place to nest, and you'll not only find yourself waking to their songs, but many will repay you by devouring  garden pests.
