HARTFORD - Officials with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) say more than 7,000 Connecticut property owners have applied for aid following Hurricane Sandy.

FEMA has given out about $4 million to people who were displaced by the storm.

Most of that is going to housing assistance, with just $200,000 going toward personal property loss so far.
