EDISON - The overnight rain provided some much-needed relief for firefighters battling several large brush fires around the state.

A fire in Wharton State Forest burned more than 200 acres before finally being 100 percent contained.

A massive blaze in Beachwood, dubbed the "Continental Fire," along with another in Downe Township in Cumberland County are also 100 percent contained.

The "Cross Roads Fire" in Berkley Township and another in Franklinville are at 80 percent containment.

No injuries or major property damage has been reported in any areas affected by the fires.
