Fire rips though office building in Palisades Park

Firefighters battle commercial building fire in Palisades Park

PALISADES PARK - Authorities are investigating the cause of a stubborn fire in a two-story office building in Palisades Park.

It took firefighters from several departments more than two hours to bring the fire at the offices of a law firm and title agency on Bergen Boulevard under control Wednesday. The fire was first reported at around 6:15 a.m.

Video from Chopper 12 showed smoke and flames pouring from a large hole in the roof of the structure.

No one was in the building at the time. One firefighter suffered a minor injury.

Fire officials say a nearby apartment building was evacuated as a precaution.
