Former New York Times food critic Frank Bruni talks about his favorites and his not so favorites:
AP: When not reviewing, where did you like to eat?
Bruni: Terroir (Italian wine bar in East Village).
AP: Where have you dined since stepping down?
Bruni: Vinegar Hill (Brooklyn) and Peasant (Italian cuisine near Little Italy), twice, at both the restaurant (upstairs) and the wine cellar (downstairs).
AP: Favorite steak?
Bruni: Robert's Steakhouse inside the Penthouse Executive Club and Minetta Tavern.
AP: Best meals?
Bruni: French Laundry and El Bulli.
AP: Fantasy meal?
Bruni: There wouldn't be a lot of fruits and vegetables.
