PELHAM BAY - As the frigid temperatures continue this week, a care center in Pelham Bay is opening up its doors to those who need a warm place to stay.

The Gold Crest Care Center will turn into a warming station tomorrow for residents seeking refuge from the record low temperatures.

The center is for seniors, but the administrator tells News 12 that no one will be turned away. They will serve coffee, tea, and a hot meal, as well as blankets and sweatshirts.

The warming center will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
