GREENWICH - Students at Greenwich High School are concerned for their physical well-being after learning that several of their classmates have contracted a rash.

Dr. Chris Winters, the school's headmaster, sent parents an email earlier this week explaining that a group of student-athletes had the rash and that at least one had developed a skin infection. He wrote that the situation is under control and that a professional cleaning crew will douse the school's locker rooms and sporting equipment over the weekend.

Winters' letter encourages students to practice proper hygiene, a warning some students say does not keep them from worrying.

Meanwhile, the affected students have since been treated and are back in class.
