Around 1 p.m., at least one dozen police cars, including camouflage Humvees and K-9 units, sped out of the Lake Welch Beach parking lot that served as the staging area for the search. They stopped about two miles from Lake Welch on Willow Grove Road and brought out the dogs and searched in a wooded area.
