High speed police chase ends in crash in Orange County

Police say Anthony Transucci hit speeds of up to 100 mph before he lost control of the car

SLOATSBURG - A Pomona man faces drunken driving charges after leading police on a wild chase near Harriman State Park.

Police say Anthony Transucci, 29, was driving at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour before he lost control of the car on Seven Lakes Drive in Sloatsburg, just outside Harriman State Park. They say Transucci crashed into a parked car causing the struck vehicle to flip down the road where it ignited into flames. The Sloatsburg Fire Department responded and put out the fire.

Transucci was brought to Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of DWI.
