If you are looking for a great new place, Sensationally Sweet is a marvelous one to visit.

This gourmet candy shop is at 18 E. Main St. in Patchogue. It's open every day. After school, the place gets crazy.

Kids save their lunch money and go there -- you can buy lots of tasty candy for a dollar. After 5 p.m., you can get free, fresh popcorn.

The manager's name is Elsie, and I got to ask her a few questions. The store has been open since July 2012, and it has been a big hit with kids in my neighborhood.

They have seasonal candy. For Halloween, they gave out vampire and werewolf teeth, and there are plenty of other things for different seasons.

They have all the stuff you like right now and then some of the old-fashioned candies like Bonomo Turkish Taffy, Bit-o-Honey, ice cubes, chocolates and, last but not least, Squirrel Nut Zippers (I tried them, but they are not the best to me).

Most of the candies are so amazing. There is a movie package, which includes gummy hot dogs, popcorn, mini gummy bears and a drink.

There are huge Jawbreakers and so much more.

I really like this place. This is good for all ages because there is a large selection of candy to choose from.

The number to call is 631-627-8759.
