Snooki trades partying for pregnancy in new MTV show

Break out the tanning lotion and fried pickles: Snooki’s back on TV... and pregnant.
“Snooki & JWOWW,” a “Jersey Shore” spinoff that follows the BFFs becoming roommates, premieres at 10 tonight on MTV. The Marlboro native, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, announced that she was pregnant and engaged soon after moving in with JWOWW (real name: Jenni Farley). The fallout from those twin bombshells will be felt throughout the season.
Local fans are in for a treat. The series begins with a scene of Snooki in Marlboro at her mother's home (clip below). After lamenting that she doesn’t want to be “one of those kids who are 40 years old and still living with their parents,” she tells her mother that she plans to leave the nest to live with JWOWW in Jersey.
Once the duo have moved to their new digs in Jersey City, Snooki and JWOWW have to face how the pregnancy news will impact their fist-pumping lifestyle. We’re all used to seeing the pint-sized star’s drunken antics, so time will tell if a sober Snooki can be just as entertaining. (We think yes.)
As Snooki’s spinoff airs, the mothership series is filming its sixth season in Seaside Heights, N.J.. The star is reportedly staying in a different house than the rest of the “Jersey Shore” cast, which makes sense, considering that Snooki is expected to give birth to a baby boy in the fall.
She recently revealed on "Good Morning America" that she and fiance Jionni LaValle plan to name their son Lorenzo ("Enzo," for short).
“Saturday Night Live” star Bobby Moynihan, known for impersonating Snooki on the show, has his own ideas on what Snooki should name her son. The Eastchester native told Vanity Fair that, “I think ‘Steve’ is a good name...something nice and simple.”
