I-95 crash in New Rochelle slows traffic

A two-car crash has slowed traffic in both directions Wednesday morning on the New England Thruway in New Rochelle, police said.

One person was slightly injured in the crash, which was reported about 8:30 a.m. and briefly shut the left lane on northbound I-95 between Boston Post Road/Exit 15 and North Avenue/Exit 15, State Police at Tarrytown said.

The crash was cleared by 8:55 a.m. but minor rubbernecking delays persisted in both directions, troopers said. Troopers were on the scene and waiting for an ambulance to bring the injured person to a hospital for treatment, troopers said.

Additionally, a crash on Interstate 684 southbound slowed traffic at Hardscrabble Road/Exit 8 in Croton Falls, State Police at Cortlandt said. Troopers remained on the scene as of 9:15 a.m. but had no further information on the crash.
