Jeffrey Castro gets 6 months for contempt of court after insulting judge

NORWALK - A Danbury man is facing prison time for insulting a Norwalk Superior Court judge in the courtroom.

Jeffrey Castro, 26, was arraigned Monday on a different charge.

Officials say Castro put his feet up on the jury box, used profane language and told the justice to perform a lewd act on him.

Authorities say Castro was held in contempt of court and sentenced to six months in prison.

He due back in court next month to resolve his other charges.
