Jumping for heart health

Every year, Sunrise Drive students participate in a Jump Rope for Heart event. We raise money by jumping rope and other activities. Our families sponsor us. The money is donated to the American Heart Association so it can help people and also offer CPR lessons.

Our gym teachers run all the activities, but there parents and other teachers help, too. This year, 217 kids participated. If you raised money, you got some prizes. This year, the prizes were ducks. If you raised $5, you got a duck and a lanyard. If you raised $75, you got two ducks. A person could earn up to six ducks. Altogether this year, Sunrise Drive raised $15,028.67 for the American Heart Association.
