The family of Michael Lembhard held a rally Monday night on what would have been his 23rd birthday.

Lembhard was shot and killed by Newburgh police in March.

Family members say they are celebrating Michael's life. They invited the community to join them in remembering the young father.

The officers who gunned Lembhard down say that he lunged at them with a knife as they were trying to arrest him on an outstanding warrant. A grand jury cleared the officers in the shooting.
