Teens are invited to Teen Movie Night at Howland Public Library on Tuesday, Aug. 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The library is located at 313 Main St. in Beacon.

Members of the library's TAG and YAC groups combined their efforts to plan a fun night for teens that will include a movie and snacks. They will be showing "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" as part of the teen reading theme, Own the Night.

The film, rated PG-13, stars Robert Downey Jr. as he reprises his role as the world's most famous detective, and Jude Law returns as his colleague, Dr. Watson. Holmes has always been the smartest man in the room ... until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large.
