Parents of children with ADHD can attend a talk entitled “Top Ten Strategies For Parenting Children and Teens with ADHD” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Hamlet Golf & Country Club, One Clubhouse Dr., Commack.
The cost is $5, and the fee goes to the Nassau County Branch of CHADD, which supports children and adults with ADHD, says Cindy Goldrich, the ADHD parent coach from Melville who is speaking at the event.
Goldrich presents a 30-minute talk and then takes questions from parents. “I really make it very interactive, so parents can ask all their questions,” she says. This is how Goldrich explains ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: “People can’t always pay attention when they want for as long as they want to what they want.”See alsoSpringtime fun for kids on LI
