Why it's fun: Take a ride on the indoor carousel or try scaling the 20-foot rock-climbing wall. Arcade games that earn tickets toward prize redemption round out the fun. Once April hits, the outdoor attractions start to open; they include a roller coaster, batting cage, miniature golf, bumper boats and go-karts.

Go-carts: COST $6 driver ($2.75 passenger) or $23.95 for unlimited rides in the park

REQUIREMENTS 58 inches for drivers, 40 inches for passengers; must be at least 18 years old to drive with a passenger.

Boomers' outdoor go-cart track has banked turns and straightaways where carts can race up to 20 mph. Riders can race in single or double cars. Boomers' carts attract riders from all age groups -- but especially teenage boys.

Hours: Winter hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Check website for school vacation hours. Summer hours: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Mon. and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Tue.-Sun.

Cost: Rock climbing wall is $6 for three consecutive climbs; carousel is $2.50 per ride. Arcade game tokens are priced separately.

Eats: Hit the snack bar for burgers, chicken strips and pizza.
