On Saturday, Aug. 28th we went to the U.S. Open for the annual Kids Day at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The park has a lot of events for kids.  They had player autographs, face painting, hair braiding, juggling and plate spinning, stilt walking, balloon artists and much more.  We did a lot of that stuff, but we had an even bigger assignment that day.

We were lucky enough to be able to go backstage and meet and interview two singers and one band.  First we went into the conference room and interviewed David Archuleta. He was so sweet and he had a lot to talk about.  He was runner up on “American Idol” a few years ago and he has been touring the country. In the beginning of the interview he seemed nervous but warmed up just like we did.

While we were waiting for the next interview to happen we saw Big Rob, the Jonas Brothers bodyguard.  He was nice enough to take a picture with us.

Next we went into Demi Lovato’s dressing room to interview her.  She was very nice and had a perfect answer for everything.  We enjoyed meeting her.

The highlight of our day was when we met the Jonas Brothers.  We were so excited to meet them that we were hyperventilating.  As soon as we walked into the room we were welcomed by them and they answered all of our questions.  It was an amazing day.
