In 2015 there were players that, let’s just say, were beyond human.
One of those people is Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors. Stephen put on a show in the NBA finals. He is just a really good player. What a great MVP to have on your team. Not only that, he is leading his team this season to one of the greatest starts in NBA history.
Patrick Kane and his team, the Chicago Blackhawks, won the Stanley Cup with his monster stats. Patrick worked hard and so did his other teammates to do what all NHL players want to do and that is to hold the Stanley Cup.
This year in Women’s World Cup soccer, USA won it all. Led by the phenomenal Carli Lloyd, they had to work hard for the cup and they did and that’s one reason they won it all. The final game with Carli scoring three goals in the first 16 minutes was amazing.
The New England Patriots somehow won the Super Bowl when I guess the Seahawks forgot what to do. Well, back to the game, the Seahawks passed the ball and Malcolm Butler intercepted the ball in the end zone. The next thing you know the game is over and the Patriots won the Super Bowl. Quarterback Tom Brady was named MVP, but he gave his prize, a new truck, to Malcolm Butler.
In baseball, Bryce Harper, of the Washington Nationals, was unanimous MVP winner in the National League and Josh Donaldson of the Toronto Blue Jays won it for the American League.
For New York fans, one of the most exciting moments of 2015 was when the Mets got into the World Series. The Mets haven’t made it to the playoffs in nine years! But this year the Mets clinched the playoffs on Sept. 26, 2015. They beat the Chicago Cubs to head off to the World Series with the Kansas City Royals. Unfortunately they did not win. They lost the World Series. Even though they didn’t win, it was still fun to have a home team playing. Maybe they will win next year.
