The Lauri Strauss Leukemia Foundation Ride for Research Bike Tour is an annual event that raises money for leukemia reasearch and treatment. There are three bike tours to choose from: 3.3 miles, 14 miles and 21 miles, plus a 3-mile walk.

Last year the bike tour started at Soundview Marketplace in Port Washington, and traveled through Sands Point and Manorhaven, a beautiful ride for a good cause!

This year’s tour is set for May 21 and will start at the Port Washington LIRR station.

There are many activities to enjoy after the tour including raffles and refreshments. It was a lot of fun because I got to spend time with my family while raising money for a good cause. I hope more people come to this event this year.
