The clock is ticking, and your time for summer fun is coming to an end. Have you done everything you wanted to do? Here are things we think that should be on your must-do list:

  • Visit Montauk.
  • Host your own barbecue. Get an adult to cook, but it is all about you and your friends.
  • Visit the Long Island Children’s Museum.
  • Go fishing.
  • Have a campout in your backyard.
  • Hike on local trails and see Long Island.
  • Try kayaking or canoeing.
  • Check out museums on Long Island and in New York City. Be sure to check your library to see if they have free passes.
  • Go rock climbing, either outdoors or indoors.
  • Visit Sagamore Hill, where President Teddy Roosevelt lived.
  • Hit the mall. Get organized and fashionable — don’t wait until the last minute to get your school supplies and wardrobe.
  • Paint a Mason jar or some sort of container and catch fireflies.
  • Finish your summer reading.
