One day my mom and I went food shopping at Western Beef in our neighborhood. We were getting food for our school trip to the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City.

When we went up to the cashier, we saw an older lady struggling to put her groceries on the conveyor belt. I decided to help her. I could see how happy she was that I was able to lend a hand and I felt so good that I helped someone in need.

Ever since that day, I have been on the lookout to help other elderly people.

A lot of elderly people will not ask for your help, but they do appreciate it when you help them.

When my mom and I went back to Western Beef a few weeks later, we saw another person struggling and without even thinking about it, I knew it was time to do the right thing for others.
