Indoor composting

Indoor composting is a great way to get rid of waste and produce your own fertilizer. It is very easy. All you need is a bucket, leaves, dirt and coffee grounds. Combine all the items in a bucket. Now put your food waste into the mixture and put the bucket aside.

I learned about indoor composting from a video our class watched. This is a great way to learn about the environment and recycling. When you throw garbage out, where does it go? Landfills.

That's why it is also very important to separate garbage from recyclable plastics and cans. You can make indoor composting a family affair and teach them about recycling. One problem is the smell, so make sure you have it in a place where you don't have to smell it. Other than that, I guarantee it will be fun.
