In 2012 my family and I participated in a walk called Liver Life Walk for my grandfather, who had a liver transplant in 2007. The Liver Life Walk of the American Liver Foundation is the largest national fundraising walk related to liver health. I did this walk to raise money for awareness of liver diseases, educational programs and patient services offered to those who are battling this disease. My family raised $500. When you do this walk, you’re doing an amazing thing for people battling liver disease. It’s great exercise for you, and you get to bond, laugh and have a great time with friends and family.
