Where do you get current events, from online or from a newspaper? We do current events in school. Lots of times, if you want to know the latest breaking news, do you read a newspaper or check it out online? Are newspapers becoming a thing of the past? With technology at our fingertips, some find it unnecessary to buy a newspaper. We surveyed 100 fifth-graders, and here is where they get the latest breaking news:

Online....................................... 44

Newspaper................................. 7

Both........................................... 49

Yes, we do like to keep up with what is going on! And, as you can see, 49 of the fifth- graders use both newspapers and online to get the news, so we guess newspapers are still a main source for kids when they aren't watching TV.
